Hiring a lawn care service in Buda

If you’re green thumbs like the rest of us here, you have probably spent most of your life doing your own yard work.  However, we strongly encourage gardeners to outsource things like lawn maintenance, grass cutting, and fertilization to other so we can spend time honing the crafts of gardening and landscaping.

So, if you have not hired a landscaper in Buda before,  here are some tips:

1. Talk to them over the phone first:  You want a lawn care professional that you can easily communicate with.  A quick phone call is a way to determine if the lawn service is professional and speaks english.
2. Ask for several references:  You want to get a sense of what it is like working with this particular lawn care company.  There are a number of things you will learn here.
3. Get multiple bids:  There is a wide range of what one handyman might charge to mow a lawn vs another.  Be sure to get multiple bids to ensure you are getting a fair price.  Note that the lowest bid
4. Don’t sign a contract: While contracts are standard in some parts of the country, they are not in Buda.  Most landscapers work on an as needed basis so contracts are definitely not the norm.
5. Verify insurance:  You absolutely should not hire a lawn care company that doesn’t  carry insurance.  You want to make sure you’re covered in case something goes wrong, such as a broken window, a ding in your car, or worse.  Plus, insurance is an indicator of a more professional company.
